People with companion animals often think of them as part of the family rather than merely as pets. That’s why their animal’s overall health and long life are of serious concern to them. ADM offers a number of ingredients of high and consistent quality for pet food manufacturers, which help dogs, cats and other species live healthy lives.

ADM ingredients use only natural-source, plant-based materials from the crops it processes – cereals and oilseeds.

Pets Pets Oils & Meal
ADM’s ingredient offering starts with basic oils and meal. Corn gluten meal and corn germ meal are good protein and / or fibre sources in pet diets. Then there’s the highly nutritious Soycomil® soya protein concentrates. Nutrilec® liquid native lecithin and Ultralec® de-oiled lecithin act not only as emulsifiers but they are also sources of choline, inositol and unsaturated fatty acids.

Vitamin E & Mixed Tocopherols
From its oilseed processing come ADM’s natural-source vitamin E and the Decanox™ mixed tocopherol antioxidants.

Rheology Control
To control viscosity and suspend particulates such as meat chunks in pet foods, ADM offers NovaXan™ xanthan gum, made by carbohydrate fermentation.

Flavour & pH Control
Also from fermentation come citric and lactic acids, for flavour and pH control.
