Lecithins
ADM’s lecithins are proven emulsifiers in proprietary paint formulations where Adlec® is used in oil-based products.
Oils
ADM also provides many other natural-based products for your paint and coating formulations, including linseed, soya bean and sunflower oils. Linseed and soybean oils go to the printing industry for inks of various kinds, from high-gloss to newspaper grades.

Xanthan Gum
To meet changing environmental concerns, more water-based coatings are being developed and here OptiXan™ xanthan gum (made by fermentation from ADM’s sugars) plays an increasingly important role. Added at low levels, xanthan gum improves flow control, can suspend particulates and also facilitate application with pinpoint accuracy on difficult surfaces.
